One thing I have been keenly aware of as I have taught this study is the hurt in the hearts of so many of the particpants who feel like their own past mistakes have crippled them from guiding their own daughters in a godly way.  I am so grateful that I serve a God who can conquer my filthy past and cleanse me.  If you are struggling with burdens from your past, please know that God stands ready, able, and eagerly willing to take you to a place of healing.  There is no sin so great that our Great God cannot forgive it.  There is no stain so dark He cannot remove it.

Led by Patti Guess, this study will meet for six weekly sessions.  Childcare will be provided for each session.  A sign-up sheet will be available beginning on Sunday, June 21, at the information desk in the front hall at Edgewood Baptist Church or you can register online by clicking here to RSVP. The cost for the study is $10 per person to cover the cost of the participant book and you may pay on the first night of the study when you pick up your book. 

Bible Study description:

Your daughter’s growing up. The world has a lot to say to her, and she’s starting to listen. Even if she doesn’t quite know it, she needs you more than ever. It’s time for you to press in, to tell her some things she might not know—or might have forgotten—about who she is in God’s eyes.

In her latest Bible study, Vicki Courtney equips moms to have the five conversations that will empower their daughters to stand firm in the midst of a culture that would rob them of their treasured status:

    • You shouldn’t be in a hurry to grow up.
